Same System Size, Less Components, and Less Cells

Liquid batteries, also called electrochemical cells, include several chemistries with longer lives, greater cycle lives, and cheaper more abundant materials. To keep the materials in liquid form, the batteries must operate at significantly higher temperatures.

Despite deployment of several hundred megawatt hours annually, liquid batteries are unknown to the average consumer/operator as their high operating temperatures relegated them to grid-scale infrastructure.

Pendulum has pioneered the containment of these chemistries, enabling their use in applications 1/100th of the sizes currently available today. This enables liquid batteries for use in energy storage in form factors as small as a house or a retail/commercial unit.

Less Components

Each cell has 6 components, the majority of which are chemical and not mechanical.

This enables the long lives of liquid batteries as compared to the highly mechanical li-ion batteries.

Less Cells

At the system level, total components are reduced by 99% in our batteries as our systems also require significantly less cells to operate.

As compared to prevailing energy storage products which use thousands of the consumer electronic sized 18650 cells. Pendulum's batteries makes each cell count.
